Bridal Party Flowers: Headpieces And Hairstyles
< Previous

HEADPIECES AND HAIRSTYLES

  • Use flowers sturdy enough to survive your entire wedding day. Some blooms that meet this requirement are mini-gardenias, stephanotis blossoms, garden rosebuds and corsage-like orchids.
  • Be sure to order several extras for a 911 "limp" emergency. And make sure you and your hairdresser have practiced with the hairpiece in your hair before W-Day.

If you're using flowers in your flower girl's hair, make sure they are small and light enough to hold up in fine hair. And be sure to use bobby pins that match her fair locks!

  • Another great option, and one that's less risky, is using milliner's flowers available at any good fabric store. You can find fabulous silk or velvet flowers with leaves that can be attached to bobby pins and are worry and wilt free.
  • We also love to use scented herbs like lamb's ear or coffee bean berries paired with a rose. Tuck these into a low bun and you'll be a hit coming and going!
